Bad Bay Bridge

This was taken from La Malbaie in Quebec which literally is Bad Bay. It was named by Samuel de Champlain since the low tides would stop all his boats.

More precisely, this is from a dock extending into the St-Laurence River.

A nice library

Last week I went around to find something to shoot. I found a library that was quite nice and tried out my HDR skills on them. Here are the nicest shots (click on the pictures to get to a bigger version)









As I was leaving, I saw the other side of the building. Thanks to the red light, I was able to grab my camera from the passenger seat and get the last shot of the day. After a tight crop, it ended up my favorite picture of the set.

Looking down to the Fireworks!

My girlfriend and I went out to look at the fireworks that evening. We positioned our chairs with our feet just over the pond the days rain had created. We hoped that nobody would sit too close and block the view. The only people that came between us and the fireworks were a few people leaning on the rock wall, at the edge of the lake.

Little did I know that this pond would not only clear the view, but play part in my favorite picture of the days.
