#1 & #2

For those who do not know me, I'm kinda camera shy. Like to look into the visor, not the lens. Probably you've already realized this since I'm in none of my postings. There is something about my face on the net that I don't like. But even in souvenir pictures, I tend to not be on most of them.

I must add that I somewhat admire people who do sefl portrait 365; this is something that gives me the chill just thinking about it.

So, I'll break part of this anonimity by showing pictures of my kids which I'll name #1 and #2.

#1 & #2

Panorama from Les Escoumins, Quebec, Canada

Les Escoumins is a small village that is know for whales sightseeing. We typically hear about Tadoussac more, but most boat that departs from Tadoussac will go downstream until they are in front of Les Esoumins since this is where you can see the most. It also means that from this rock formation, you can look at them from the shore.

Unfortunately, when we got there, we could hear the Ooooh! Aaaaah! of people spotting some just as they dived. They only came back out when we were leaving. At least this is what I think since I didn't see them. Only heard the Ooooh! Aaaaah! as I was walking up the trail.

But we went on boats the day after and saw many.

Interactive View.

Technical information:
51 images in 3 rows of 4-8-4 images + nadir * 3 exposures each.
Shot at 10mm, ISO100 f16 and 1/80s +\- 2 stop.
Generated 3 equirectangular panorama (one per exposure) with hugin and post process with photomatix.

Panorama from Les Escoumins, Quebec, Canada

Ice Tables - Quebec Winter Carnival

Taken at the Quebec Winter Carnival. Near the SAQ kiosk, there were many of these small Ice tables. (SAQ stands for Société des Alcools du Quebec - AKA the state owned shops that sell\control all alchool entering the province). All of them have an internal light which gives it it's color.
